Teaching language
Confirm the department’s teaching, supervision and assessment languages. An English-language application route requires departmental agreement for applicants who do not speak Korean; it does not establish that the whole degree is taught in English.
Duration
The university’s master’s profile gives a two-year study-period reference. Confirm the department’s actual credit, supervision, thesis or other completion requirements and expected duration.
Entry requirements
2026 guide reference: a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or an accepted equivalent; expected graduates were assessed for the February 2026 completion point. Nationality and overseas-education routes have separate checks. The general language alternatives are TOPIK PBT/IBT level 3 or above, completion of level 3 at Konkuk University’s Seoul Language Institute, or the listed English thresholds: TOEFL 530 (CBT 197, iBT 71), IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2 or TEPS 600 (New TEPS 327). Confirm the current accepted test editions, score validity and department conditions. English-only applicants must consult the department and obtain its non-Korean-speaker agreement. A temporary language-certificate exemption uses specific professor/head-professor approvals and later graduation-language requirements; it is not automatic. Prepare an application, study/research proposal, one recommendation from faculty in your previous degree programme, signed consent forms, qualification/transcript and nationality/family documents; the guide exempts applicants whose final degree was from Konkuk from that recommendation. Korean/English originals and applicable authentication are required, with notarised translations for other languages. Graduates of Chinese universities have a CHSI degree-verification requirement; Chinese nationals also have an additional Hukou-copy requirement for themselves and their parents. These are separate conditions. The financial section refers to a deposit over KRW 20,000,000, while the calendar states KRW 20,000,000; confirm the current threshold, holder, residency-specific bank documents, recency and professor-support alternatives. Financial proof is separate from fees. Obtain the current full checklist and country-specific instructions before committing to an application; admission, scholarships and visa decisions remain separate assessments.
Course fees
Historical Fall 2025 semester reference: tuition KRW 5,581,000 and a listed entrance fee of KRW 1,015,000, with a table total of KRW 6,596,000. These are adjustable guide figures, not a current Spring 2026 or 2027 invoice or a full-degree total. The Spring 2026 application-fee table separately lists KRW 115,000 plus KRW 5,000, totalling KRW 120,000; it says changes, cancellation and fee refunds are unavailable after that application deadline. Confirm current charges, entrance-fee applicability, compulsory extras and refund terms before payment. Scholarships depend on their own conditions and budgets; no award, combined discount or net price is guaranteed.
Intake
The available guide covers Spring 2026. Its September–October 2025 application period has ended. Ask for the next recruitment notice, available supervisors and separate application, document and payment deadlines. The guide contains conflicting document-supplement dates, so no new deadline is inferred.
