- Entry requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is required, or completion by 28 February 2027. Eligibility follows either the route for a non-Korean applicant with two non-Korean parents, or the separate route for applicants who completed the entire school and university curriculum of at least 16 years abroad. Confirm the nationality and education documents for your route. The published Type A language condition is TOPIK Level 4 or above, or TOEFL iBT 71, IELTS 5.5, TEPS 600 or New TEPS 234 or above. The medium-of-instruction alternative is limited to eligible applicants from countries where English is a mother tongue or official language who completed higher education entirely in English. Confirm accepted test formats, score validity and the required evidence; any language exception needs university approval. Submit the application form with the financial guarantor’s signature, a photo, passport evidence, undergraduate transcript and diploma, a study plan of roughly two to three A4 pages, and a recommendation from your graduating institution. Professor consultation before applying and a confirmation letter are required for this department. Confirm the original-document, translation and authentication checklist for your country and school, including the specific checks for Chinese qualifications. The guide requests financial evidence of at least USD 20,000, separate from course fees. The English table asks for the balance to be maintained for at least one month; the Korean list also specifies a freeze of at least one month and a certificate issued within the previous month. Confirm the bank format and the date used to assess that issue window. Applicant, parent or spouse accounts are listed; family guarantors need relationship evidence and signed guarantor details. External scholarship recipients must provide scholarship evidence, and a separate exception is listed for an Ajou faculty financial guarantor. Confirm which financial documents apply to your case. The listed research areas are Molecular Medicine(MS), Molecular Medicine(NS), Neuroscience(MS), Neuroscience(NS), Cancer Biology(MS), Cancer Biology(NS), Biomedical Informatics(MS), Biomedical Informatics(NS), Pharmacotherapeutics, Artificial Intelligence in Medicine(MS), Artificial Intelligence in Medicine(NS), Artificial Intelligence in Medicine(E), Artificial Intelligence in Medicine(P). For areas marked MS (Medical Science), the Korean guide restricts applications to holders of a physician’s licence. This restriction is tied to the MS field; confirm the academic and professional prerequisites for your chosen area with the department. Medical Sciences and Biomedical Sciences are excluded from the general Ajou Global Scholarship; students follow their department’s scholarship system. Confirm available funding and its conditions with the department. This research programme does not establish eligibility for clinical practice or professional registration. Scholarships require separate assessment. Admission does not guarantee a visa, scholarship or employment.
