- Teaching language
- Basic science and major lectures are taught in English. Some general electives are offered in Korean or English; check the language of the electives you intend to take.
- Study mode
- Confirm the current timetable, attendance and campus arrangements with DGIST.
- Duration
- Four years in the published undergraduate programme; individual completion depends on academic progress.
- Entry requirements
- The published foreign freshman route requires foreign citizenship and high-school graduation, or expected graduation by the stated registration deadline, together with either two non-Korean parents or the Korean-origin route requiring comparable elementary, middle and high-school education completed outside Korea. Korean dual nationals are excluded. A single legal guardian requires custody evidence. GED, home schooling and online alternative qualifications are not recognised, with a documented exception for school-directed online learning during COVID-19. International transfer admission is not offered. Selection considers academic ability, potential, communication, achievements and activities; attend an interview if required. Prepare diploma or expected-graduation evidence, transcripts from every high school and all semesters, valid nationality documents for the applicant and parents, and official parent-child relationship evidence. Family records generally need to be issued within six months, with an exception for documents issued only once. Korean-origin applicants need the additional overseas-school, entry-exit and nationality-loss evidence. Submit the main application online through Study in Korea, with the main documents in one legible PDF up to 10 MB. A single optional recommendation must come directly from the recommender by post and arrive by the deadline. Standardised test results are optional and strongly recommended; IGCSE and AS results are not recognised as standardised-test reports. School-issued predicted IB or A-Level results may be submitted, followed by final results. English test reports appear under optional documents, with no minimum score stated and a two-year validity window; confirm the next intake’s exact language-evidence requirement. School profile evidence is also listed among optional documents. Confirm translation and notarisation requirements: the guide’s English-only wording differs from its note about Korean or English originals. Admitted students must provide the required authenticated academic records; the guide says Apostille deadlines will be announced later. Confirm the final diploma deadline because the eligibility wording, enrolment schedule and fall start do not give a consistent completion date. Admission cannot be deferred to a later semester. Students accepted by several universities must choose one for enrolment. Tuition support and living awards have different conditions; dormitory fees are paid separately. Confirm current tuition, financial evidence, scholarship terms and all deadlines before applying. Admission does not guarantee a visa or funding.
- Intake
- Ask about the next international freshman intake. The guide’s 2026 application window has closed. Current dates, available places and final graduation-document deadlines need confirmation.
