- Entry requirements
- The published 2026 foreign freshman route requires a foreign applicant with two foreign parents and a high-school diploma, expected graduation or a recognised equivalent. Dual nationals and stateless applicants are excluded. Later acquisition of foreign nationality has a limited exception requiring the applicant and both parents to have acquired it before the equivalent primary and secondary curriculum began, with evidence. School systems spanning different countries, including the guide’s special equivalence rules, need individual assessment. GED, home-schooling and cyber-learning qualifications are not recognised. Korean language evidence is a valid TOPIK result, or at least one year of regular Korean study at this university’s International Education Institute together with its director’s recommendation. Applicants below TOPIK Level 3 must complete the university’s designated Korean courses. Confirm how the completion-and-recommendation route is documented against the separate TOPIK document checklist. D-4 language trainees must also provide attendance and results for their entire language-study period. Submit the prescribed forms, self-introduction and study plan, consent, payment evidence, passport, parent nationality and family relationship evidence, and authenticated school records. Korean residents provide an alien registration card copy if held. Translate overseas documents in other languages into Korean or English with notarisation. Academic authentication depends on the country and qualification; China-specific school categories need separate checks. Applicants using expected-graduation evidence must provide the final diploma and transcript before the semester starts. Originals are normally required, with specified copy exceptions and later-original deadlines. Apply in person or by post; posted documents must arrive by the deadline. The guide’s general financial reference is KRW 16,000,000 or more in an applicant or parent account. Its reduced KRW 8,000,000 reference is for language trainees at this university’s own institute. A sibling account is accepted only under the stated parental-death condition. Korean residents must use their own Korean bank account; the guide gives that branch a 30-day certificate validity, matching balance and issue dates, and excludes internet-issued statements. Overseas bank certificates with an explicit expiry may be accepted until that date, up to six months from issue. This is certificate validity, not a minimum deposit holding period. Additional academic and financial documents are required for the visa stage. Document screening checks eligibility before the interview, which accounts for the full selection score. The guide sets a panel average of at least 800 out of 1,000; eligibility alone does not guarantee selection. Interviews are normally in person for applicants in Korea and by video for applicants abroad, with original identity evidence required. Apply to one recruitment unit only. The guide prohibits changing major after entry and taking leave in the first semester, and requires orientation attendance. Confirm current financial thresholds, tuition, scholarships and deadlines before applying. Admission does not guarantee a visa, funding, professional registration or a clinical placement.
