Entry requirements

The published 2026 foreign admission rules require a foreign applicant with two foreign parents and a recognised master’s degree, or recognised equivalent, earned before the entry semester starts. Applicants from a different prior discipline may apply but must complete prescribed supplementary subjects. Language evidence includes TOPIK Level 3, SKA Intermediate 1 or DU-TOPIK at least 50 out of 100. Overseas DU-TOPIK results are accepted within two years. The guide also describes a department-head-confirmed academic-ability route using Form 5 without an official language score; confirm whether DU-TOPIK must still be taken under the separate test-schedule wording. This is an individual decision, and graduation language requirements are separate. Prepare the prescribed application and consent forms, study plan, self-introduction, academic records, family and nationality evidence, and passport; the recommendation letter is optional. Academic authentication and certified translations depend on where the qualification was earned, and Korean residents may need an alien registration card copy. Financial evidence may use an applicant or parent bank deposit, an institutional scholarship statement, or a prospective Daegu supervisor’s funding confirmation. Confirm current amounts, document dates and any reduced-deposit exception for existing Daegu undergraduate or master’s students. Selection uses document assessment; the department may interview if needed and may decline selection for a small cohort. Multiple applications to two or more departments or majors are not allowed. Confirm current tuition and all document deadlines before applying. Admission does not guarantee a visa, scholarship or employment. Professional registration or a teaching licence requires separate checks.
