- Entry requirements
- The published 2026 foreign freshman route requires high-school graduation or expected graduation and a foreign applicant with two foreign parents, following regular schooling in Korea or abroad. The guide excludes dual nationality among the applicant or parents and foreign nationality acquired after birth. Foreign school-system equivalence needs university assessment; GED, home-schooling and cyber-learning qualifications are not recognised. The Korean admission route normally requires TOPIK Level 3, with a Level 2 exception for arts and physical education classifications; confirm how the university classifies your chosen unit. Listed alternatives include Sejong Intermediate 1 or higher and Social Integration Programme Stage 3 or higher. The Daejin Korean-centre route describes six months, two terms and 400 hours, or intermediate-course completion; another route accepts passing its Korean assessment. The recognised-course route specifies six months (at least 20 weeks or 400 hours), two terms and at least 80% attendance, with overseas providers restricted to Sejong Institutes or university language centres. These alternatives have separate evidence requirements. Admission through the specified alternative routes requires 300 hours of Korean special study or the prescribed undergraduate Korean Studies courses within the first year, including for government-scholarship students; confirm the exact condition in your offer. Language certificates follow the guide’s two-year validity window. Prepare the prescribed application, a recent photograph, personal statement and study plan specified in Korean, academic records, applicant and parent nationality documents, official family relationship evidence, financial evidence and consent. Confirm any track-specific document-language arrangement. Translations into Korean or English must be notarised when the original is in another language. Academic authentication depends on the qualification and country; China-specific verification rules require separate checks. Originals are normally required, with stated later-original or authentication deadlines. The general published financial reference is KRW 20,000,000 including tuition, kept until enrolment. The KRW 10,000,000 reference is for completers of Daejin’s own international Korean programme. The guarantor wording names the applicant or spouse, or parents, with a separate parent-account restriction for Chinese freshman and transfer applications; confirm the acceptable account holder for your case. Selection checks eligibility and then uses an interview, normally in person with video possible. The panel averages at least two assessors’ scores, and a score below 60 out of 100 fails. Meeting eligibility or the published quota wording does not guarantee selection. Graduation Korean requirements are separate: the guide describes TOPIK Level 4, or Level 3 for arts and physical education, together with a university-test route, Sejong Intermediate 2 with specified online-study exclusions, or Social Integration Programme pre-assessment 81 or Stage 4 alternatives. Confirm your applicable graduation route. Confirm current tuition, financial thresholds, document deadlines and scholarship conditions before applying. Admission does not guarantee a visa, funding, professional registration or a placement.
- Intake
- Ask about the next foreign freshman intake. The specific January 2026 application dates in the spring third-round guide have closed; the broader recruitment window is a separate schedule. Current dates and places need confirmation.
