Entry requirements
The 2027 Spring guide requires a completed or expected bachelor’s degree for master’s entry. Expected graduates must submit final qualifications before admission. The applicant and parents must hold non-Korean citizenship; the guide excludes dual-nationality and stateless applicants and requires completed evidence of any loss of Korean nationality. It does not recognize GED, homeschooling, cyber-school learning or adult education. Follow the original-document, authentication and Korean/English translation checklist. Korean-track examples are TOPIK Level 3, the specified KIIP Level 3/pre-evaluation 61 route, or King Sejong Institute Intermediate 1 completion. English-track examples include IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2 or New TEPS 202; TOEFL iBT is printed as 3.5 (previous scale 59), with test scale and edition requiring confirmation. Validity at submission versus the final application day differs between guide sections; confirm validity through the end of your round. An English-proof exemption is conditional on qualifying citizenship plus evidence of secondary or higher education in English. Applicants already in Korea may provide language proof later only with prior consultation and under the stated February registration condition. The guide encourages contacting a faculty member whose research aligns with yours; this is not stated as a mandatory earlier advisor deadline. Confirm department assessment, supervision and completion requirements; admission is not a visa, scholarship or professional-registration guarantee.
Course fees
The 2027 Spring guide lists a KRW 60,000 master’s application fee, payable online and not returned. Agreement-based waivers require confirmation. This is not tuition. The guide’s tuition table is explicitly based on Fall 2026, so it is not a confirmed 2027 invoice. Request the current programme-specific tuition invoice and confirm its admission-fee, semester and refund conditions. The KRW 16,000,000 bank-balance requirement is financial proof, not an additional tuition charge. Accommodation, living costs and any scholarship award require separate confirmation.
Intake
Spring 2027 begins 2 March. Round 1 runs 1–31 October 2026; Round 2 runs 21 December 2026–3 January 2027; Round 3 runs 25–29 January 2027. Online applications and required-document submission close at 18:00 KST on each round’s final day. Confirm delivery and office arrangements, including weekends and holidays. Round 3 is limited to special-programme applicants or those currently residing in Korea; it is not a general overseas round. Dates may change; confirm available places and department assessment before applying.
