Course details

Non-degree short Korean language and culture programme
Teaching provider
DUKSUNG WOMEN`S UNIVERSITY
Teaching language
Korean language study or test preparation. Confirm classroom and assessment languages and any additional language support.
Study mode
A short programme including cultural activities. The brochure lists Ssangmun and Unhyeon campuses in English and Ssangmun-dong and Jongno campuses in Korean; confirm the assigned venue and timetable.
Duration
The brochure offers two- or three-week formats. Confirm which format applies to your selected course dates.
Entry requirements
The following describes the 2026 brochure’s general application checklist; confirm which items apply to your course, citizenship and residence status. It lists a high-school diploma or equivalent, GEI application and study-plan forms, privacy consent, passport, an alien registration card where applicable, two white-background photographs measuring 3.5 × 4.5 cm, original academic certificates and transcripts, insurance evidence and financial documents. The Korean version includes expected-graduation evidence and uses a different citizenship-category description from the English version; confirm eligibility if you have not yet graduated, are an overseas Korean or have acquired Korean citizenship. Academic records require the stated Apostille or Korean consular authentication; confirm the current process for where you studied. The general financial checklist gives USD 10,000 as a bank-balance reference, separate from course fees. Its Korean text restricts account holders to the applicant or parents, while the English text more generally requests relationship evidence for a different holder; confirm the accepted holder, balance, certificate format and any holding period before arranging funds. A Korean sponsorship letter may be required depending on the applicant’s country; the Korean and English descriptions differ and the brochure does not provide the country list. Confirm whether it applies to you. The guide asks for scans of originals followed by delivery of the required originals, received by the closing date. Confirm any course-specific document or arrival deadline and insurance requirement. Course enrolment does not establish visa eligibility or admission to a degree programme. Confirm the short programme’s specific eligibility, document and travel arrangements; the brochure’s general checklist should not be treated as a guarantee of a particular visa route.
Course fees
The 2026 brochure lists KRW 2,000,000 for two weeks or KRW 2,500,000 for three weeks, including cultural activities and dormitory accommodation. It does not identify which package price applies to the listed February 2027 dates. Its general application-fee row lists KRW 100,000 as non-refundable; confirm whether that charge applies to this format. Ask for the current invoice, other inclusions and exclusions, room arrangements and written cancellation and refund terms. Do not add the brochure’s separate regular-student dormitory charge to a package that already includes accommodation.
Intake
The brochure lists a winter course from 10 to 24 February 2027, with an application deadline of 24 December 2026. Starting dates and the number of cultural activities are subject to change. Confirm that this course is recruiting, which format applies and whether places are available before making arrangements. The listed August 2026 summer course and its application window have ended.
